Consistent Improvement with Strong Finish Chris Romero demonstrated solid progress throughout the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K. He started the 10K with a 11:06-minute mile pace, showing steady gains in each subsequent mile. By mile six, Chris accelerated to a 9:08-minute mile pace, significantly improving his overall pacing. His final overall pace was an impressive 9:48 minutes per mile. Participating with the Houston Striders, Chris secured 448th place overall out of 2010 participants. Interestingly, he advanced from the 759th spot at the first mile to 447th by the last. In his age division (M30-34), Chris climbed from 66th to finish in 49th position. By assessing the consistently improving split times and places, Chris may focus on starting stronger or maintaining that final pace throughout for better placement in future events.
