Consistent Excellence with a Strong Finish Jeremiah Stiles, age 14, showcased a remarkable improvement in his performance at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon. Completing the 13.1-mile course in 1:39:30, he averaged a pace of 7:35 min/mile, significantly improving from his previous years pace of 9:49 min/mile. Jeremiah maintained his dominant position, finishing 1st in the M0-14 category, and he demonstrated notable consistency as his pace stabilized in the latter half of the race. Early splits were particularly impressive. His fastest mile was the third, completed in 5:32. While he started strong, averaging an impressive pace in the initial miles, there's a potential opportunity to even out the pacing after mile four, as noted by the temporary decrease in his split pace, particularly during the fifth mile at 11:59. Overall, his strong finish, especially the last two miles both under 7 minutes, highlights his growing strength and stamina.
