Consistent Effort with Stable Pacing Mariana Donoso competed in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K with a total time of 1:40:32, covering the 6.2-mile distance with an average pace of 16:12 min/mile. Her performance showed consistency, as her splits ranged from 12:51 min/mile to 18:24 min/mile. She maintained a steady effort throughout the race. Notably, her best split was the first mile, clocking in at 12:51 min/mile. Mariana finished 1502nd overall and 888th among females, placing 129th in her division (F35-39). Compared to her previous 10K at the 2024 event, where she completed the race in 1:32:34, there is a noticeable difference in overall pace and time. As her coach, I suggest focusing on endurance training to work toward maintaining closer split times, particularly after the first mile.
