Consistent Effort with Steady Progression Gerardo Hernandez Villanueva participated in the 10K race at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K. His overall completion time was 1:40:31, covering a distance of 6.2 miles with an average pace of 16:12 min/mile. From the start, Gerardo maintained a consistent pace, beginning with a strong first mile split of 13:01 min/mile and a notable placement of 77th in his age division. As the race progressed, Gerardo exhibited a steady effort, although a gradual slowing was observed in the splits, culminating in a final split pace of 17:37 min/mile. Gerardo placed 1501st overall, 610th in his gender, and 96th in the M35-39 division. To enhance future performance, focusing on pace stability in the latter stages of the race could be beneficial. Joining the McCarthy Steel Toe Sprinters, Gerardo shows determination and room for refining his race strategy.
