Consistent Progress Throughout the Race Paulina Puente's performance at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon displayed impressive consistency. Starting strong with a first mile pace of 11:05 min/mile, she maintained steady progress throughout the race. Her overall time was 2:57:03, averaging a 13:30 min/mile pace. Notably, she improved her division placement from start to finish, ending 224th in the F35-39 division. Her pacing strategy revealed notable strength between miles 7 and 9, where she hit paces of 11:37, 12:10, and 12:52 min/mile. A minor slowdown was observed during mile 11 with a 15:39 min/mile, yet she rebounded with a quicker pace of 12:46 min/mile in the final mile. Continued focus on maintaining pace during late-mile fatigue will enhance future performances.
