Consistent Improvement: Steady Splits in the 10K Thiago Souza Onofre demonstrated notable consistency during the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K. He maintained a strong and consistent pace, beginning with an initial mile split of 10:14 min/mile. Over the course of 6.2 miles, Thiago displayed gradual improvement, with a particularly strong third mile split of 9:49 min/mile, which represents his quickest pace of the race. Thiago's efforts resulted in a final time of 1:01:01 with an elapsed pace of 9:50 min/mile. He successfully improved his position throughout, finishing 457th out of 2010 participants. Notably, he moved up in placement from 556th overall at the first mile to 457th by the end of the race. Thiago also advanced in the M35-39 division, from 50th to 47th.
