Consistent, Dominant Performance in Half Marathon Valera Jacob Allen's half marathon had noteworthy consistency, maintaining an average pace of 4:11 min/mile over the 13.1 miles. Allen's splits were steadily impressive, notably kicking off with a strong 4:01 min/mile in the first mile, securing fifth place overall and first in the M20-24 division. He showcased resilience and endurance by maintaining leading positions throughout different segments, even reaching first overall in the second mile with a split pace of 4:13 min/mile. Although Allen secured a fourth-place overall finish, he demonstrated exceptional control and consistency. His splits clustered tightly around a 4:03 to 4:11 min/mile pace across the race, with a highlight at mile six and seven where he regained second place in overall positions. Most importantly, Allen's performance solidified his top placement in the M20-24 age division, an impressive achievement. Fine-tune pacing in later splits, especially between miles eight and thirteen, to strive for even faster finishes.
