Consistent Pacing with a Strategic Finish Ariell Hopkins maintained a steady pace throughout the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon, clocking an overall time of 1:56:33 over the 13.1-mile course. With an average pace of 8:53 min/mile, her performance was marked by remarkable consistency. Notably, her fastest split occurred between mile 4 and 5 with a pace of 8:41 min/mile, allowing Ariell to improve her division placement, finishing at 47th in the F25-29 category. Despite the challenge of maintaining momentum over the long race, Ariell managed to keep her splits relatively close to her overall pace, her slowest mile being 9:10 at mile 12. She achieved strong finishes in the later stages of the race, improving her rank as the race progressed. Focusing on maintaining a slightly more aggressive pace at key moments could lead to even better results in future races. Excellent effort, Ariell!
