Consistent Performance with Division Victory Jason Johnson delivered a strong performance in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K, securing the top spot in the M50-54 division with an overall time of 58:53 for the 13.1-mile handcycle event. Notable for maintaining a consistent pace, his average was 4:29 minutes per mile. Highlights include his exceptional speeds at mile 3, clocking in at 4:15 min/mile, and a swift finish over the last mile at a pace of 4:06 min/mile. While his overall placement was 5th out of 36 participants, Jasons consistent pacing is commendable, particularly his ability to maintain sub-4:30 min/mile paces for the majority of the event. A small opportunity presents itself in mile 12 where the pace dropped to 5:49 min/mile, which slightly impacted his overall time. Overall, the improvements from the previous year's race demonstrate Jason's upward trajectory, especially with his finishing time improving from 59:56 in 2024.
