Focused Early, Slight Fade Late Landon Tatum started strong in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon, maintaining a consistent pace over the first half of the race. Notably, he completed the 3rd and 4th miles with identical split times of 9:18, demonstrating an efficient and steady start. His performance in these miles contributed to an early overall placement improvement from 1759 to 1721. In the latter part of the race, Landon encountered a gradual slowdown. His mile 10 split time of 11:28 indicated a slight drop in pace, which continued through to mile 12, where a 12:02 split was recorded. This adjustment in pace saw him finish with an overall time of 2:13:11, at a 10:10 min/mile pace. Reflecting on the data, focusing on maintaining consistent energy distribution throughout the race could enhance future performances. Nevertheless, a solid effort that showcased strong early race tactics. Well done representing the Sexy Pace Running Club!
