Consistent Pacing Leads to a Steady Race Finish Dametria Morris delivered a steady performance in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon with a final time of 2:34:44, covering 13.1 miles at an average pace of 11:48 min/mile. Starting strong with a 9:41 min/mile pace for the first mile, she experienced a gradual decline over the race, with a final mile pace of 12:45 min/mile. Her overall position was 3125 out of 4907 participants, and she placed 1162 in the female category. Within the F25-29 age division, she secured the 236th position. Although Dametria maintained a consistent pace, which is commendable, there was a noticeable increase in time per mile, particularly after mile 4. For future races, focusing on endurance training to sustain early mile paces might help in maintaining speed throughout.
