Steady Improvement and Strong Finish Jeffrey Dao participated in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K, completing the 10K event with a total time of 1:51:15 and an average pace of 17:56 min/mile. He demonstrated consistency and improvement with each split. The final split was particularly strong, clocking at 16:31 min/mile, which was the fastest segment of his run, showing excellent pacing strategy and stamina. His overall placement was 1594 out of 2010 participants. Notably, he improved his placement within his division, finishing 101st in the M25-29 category. While his initial split began at 17:47 min/mile, his ability to progressively enhance his pace, especially with a significant speed boost in the last mile, reflects commendable endurance and a good reserve of energy. To further enhance performance, working on maintaining a steady pace earlier in the race could yield even better results in future events.
