Consistent Pace with Fluctuating Splits Jaime Acevedo completed the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 2:12:56 and an average pace of 10:08 min/mile. Impressively, Jaime managed to exhibit a mostly consistent pace, especially from Mile 4 through Mile 7, where his pacing ranged from 9:45 to 9:52 min/mile. His best split was at Mile 5 with a time of 9:45 min/mile. Jaime maintained steady rankings, finishing 79th in his division out of many participants. However, there was a noticeable increase in time during the later stages, particularly at Mile 11 with a split time of 10:54, affecting his overall race time. In comparison to his performance the previous year, where he completed the race in 2:09:23, focusing on sustaining pace after Mile 7 could be beneficial in future events to achieve a time closer to or better than his previous race.
