Consistent Pacing in Final Laps Boosts Performance Veni Diaz ran a well-paced half marathon finishing in 1:40:32, maintaining an average pace of 7:40 min/mile. Notably, Veni's strongest splits were at mile 2 with a time of 7:24 and mile 12 with a 7:32 pace, showcasing potential for faster segments. Veni showed consistency in pacing, with splits mainly close to the average pace, which is an important aspect to ensure maintaining momentum throughout the race. Although Veni started strong, placing 344th overall at the first mile, there was a gradual drop in positions, finishing 409th out of 4907. However, there was a notable improvement towards the end, moving from 425th overall at mile 11 to 395th by the last mile, clearly indicating a strong finish. There is an opportunity to focus on maintaining early momentum and building strength for middle miles to prevent position drops. Veni represented the UTHealth Houston (Official) team, contributing well to the team's performance.
