Steady Pace Secures Division Win Orlando Fernandez delivered an impressive performance in the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K. He consistently maintained a solid pace, completing the 10K race with an overall time of 36:40 and an average pace of 5:54 min/mile. Among 2010 participants, Orlando finished in 4th place overall, and 1st in the M20-24 division. The race featured consistent splits, with Orlando beginning at a pace of 5:54 for the first mile and adjusting slightly to a 6:00 pace in the second. The final miles showcased a strong finish with splits of 5:44 and 5:51, demonstrating solid endurance and pacing. Despite a minor shift in place throughout the race, finishing as the top in the Male 20-24 division is commendable. To further refine performance, maintaining consistency through the middle splits could enhance overall results. Excellent work securing the division win!
