Consistent Pace with Strategic Gains Chloe, representing Clearfield at the Deseret News Marathon 2025 in the 10K category, demonstrated commendable pacing strategies. She aimed for a steady split strategy, starting with a 9:41 min/mile pace and gradually improving her split to 9:05 min/mile by the second mile, showing a strategic push early on. Her overall elapsed time was 1:00:26, maintaining an average pace of 9:44 min/mile over the course. In terms of placement, Chloe consistently moved through the ranks. She maintained and improved her standings within her division, starting at 62nd and finishing 57th in the F15-18 division. As a coach, it's encouraging to see her hold a steady pace throughout. A consideration for future races might be to explore enhancing her end-of-race stamina to push through the last kilometers with the same speed she demonstrated early on.
