Consistent Pacing with Strong Division Performance John Rasmussen demonstrated consistent pacing and a robust performance in the 2025 Deseret News Marathon Half Marathon event. Notably, his initial split was completed at a 6:15 min/mile pace, which quickly transformed into a faster rhythm. He consistently maintained a sub-5:40 min/mile pace for the majority of the race. His fastest split was between miles 3 and 4, achieved with a pace of 5:17 min/mile. This consistency led to an overall pace of 5:38 min/mile, a commendable achievement for this 21-year-old runner from Highland, UT. Throughout the race, John improved his position significantly compared to the start. He spent a notable portion of the race among the top competitors, placing third in the M19-24 division and averaging a strong gender placement.
