Consistent Growth from Splits to Finish Tate McMillan delivered a strong performance at the 2025 Deseret News Marathon 10K, showcasing consistent pacing and control. Starting with a brisk first mile at 6:35, he progressively improved, with his most notable speed between miles two and three where he clocked an impressive 5:55 pace. His final results indicate steady growth as he completed the 10K with an overall time of 38:30, averaging a solid pace of 6:12 per mile over the 6.2 miles. Throughout the race, Tate improved his standing not only overall but also within his division. He climbed from 144th overall at mile one to finishing 124th, and within his division, he moved from 75th at mile one to 65th by the end. These advancements demonstrate an impressive capacity to maintain and improve pace in the latter stages of the race. Focusing on maintaining momentum in the latter half of races could further enhance his performance.
