Exceptional Middle Mile Pacing Christian, from Bluffdale, UT, delivered a standout performance at the 2025 Deseret News Marathon 10K. His overall time clocked in at 31:53, with an impressive average pace of 5:08 per mile. Amongst participants, Christian secured the 8th position in the male 15-18 division. His splits reveal notable consistency, beginning with a swift 5:07 for the first mile and displaying an excellent adaptation by accelerating to a 4:59 pace in the second mile. Although Christian's pace slightly fluctuated throughout, with mile splits ranging between 4:52 and 5:18, his overall strategy enabled him to maintain a strong average. The middle mile performance was particularly remarkable, holding an even and efficient pace.
