Steady Start with Opportunities in the Second Half Team Thundercats demonstrated a strong start at the 2025 Deseret News Marathon. The first half of their race was particularly impressive, with consistent splits of 4:02 to 4:03 min/mile for the initial five miles, leading the race standings. Their overall pace through the first 11 miles stayed under 6:36 min/mile, maintaining the lead in their gender category. As the race progressed, the team’s pace began to decline, marked by splits that gradually increased past seven-minute miles.
