Date: July 24, 2025 - Pioneer Day Participant: Jet Quilter #4906 Race: 2025 Deseret News 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Consistent Pacing and Strategic Efforts Shine Jet Quilter displayed commendable consistency in pacing throughout the 10K race. Starting strong with a 5:48 min/mile for the first mile, Jet continued to maintain a solid pace, clocking a 5:41 split in the second mile. Though there was a slight deceleration towards the middle of the race, with splits at 6:38 and 6:32 for miles three and four, Jet managed to recover momentum for the final stretches, closing with 6:20 in the last mile. Ending with an overall time of 39:15 for the 6.2 miles, Jet upheld a steady average pace of 6:19 min/mile. A strategic approach in the initial miles contributed to maintaining energy levels respectfully throughout the race. For future races, maintaining energy distribution to avoid mid-race slowdown could be beneficial. Keep focusing on endurance and fine-tuning pacing strategies, especially for the middle miles, to optimize overall performance. Great effort representing Layton Boys C!
