Consistent Pace Yields Impressive Finish Anthony's performance in the 2025 Deseret News Marathon was notable for its consistency and endurance. Starting with an impressive pace, he clocked a 5:03 min/mile for the second mile, maintaining strong early momentum. A slight drop in pace occurred between miles 6 and 8, with a shift from 5:31 min/mile to 6:00 min/mile, but he regained stability, finishing with a steady 5:52 min/mile overall pace. Maintaining a consistent 5:52 min/mile pace over a 26.2-mile distance, Anthony secured the 3rd spot overall and in his gender category among 510 participants. He excelled in his age division, consistently holding the 1st place from miles 3 to 22 in the M30-34 division. Continued focus on managing pace fluctuations after mid-point laps could enhance even stronger finishes in future races.
