Strong Start, Consistent Effort Jonathan Kotter demonstrated remarkable consistency at the 2025 Deseret News Marathon with an overall time of 2:31:12, maintaining an average pace of 5:46 minutes per mile. Initially, his pace was strong with the first five miles logged at a consistent pace of 5:14 minutes per mile. Despite a slight increase in split times between miles 6 and 9, he reclaimed momentum, achieving consecutive sub-5:30 splits later in the race. Throughout the marathon, Jonathan held the first-place position in his division for the majority of the course, showcasing his stamina and determination. He ultimately placed second overall out of 510 participants. Comparing this performance with past results, there was a slight increase from his winning time in the 2022 Deseret News Marathon where he clocked 2:28:08. To improve future performance, continuing to focus on pacing consistency, especially in the later stages, could help regain his prior top position.
