Consistent Start, Fading Finish Shannon O'Brien maintained a steady pace through the initial stages of the 2025 Boulderthon. She started with impressive split times, hitting the first mile at 9:13 min/mile and closely matching that in the subsequent miles. Between the 5-mile and 6-mile marks, Shannon achieved her fastest splits, both at 9:05 min/mile, improving her position notably within her division. In the latter portion, Shannon faced some difficulties, with her pace slowing to 11:59 min/mile by mile 20. Her overall time was 4:27:34, averaging a consistent pace of 10:12 min/mile for the marathon. Ending with a placement of 34th in her F30-34 division, a focal point could be placed on maintaining energy over longer distances.
