Impressive Performance with Consistent Splits Amy Martinez delivered a strong performance at the 2025 Boulderthon 5K, achieving 3rd place in the F50-54 division. Her splits showed consistency and a noteworthy ability to sustain pace. Her first mile was completed in 9:08, and she maintained a sub-9-minute pace for the second and third miles, hitting 8:44 and 9:01 respectively. Each mile split reflected her ability to maintain a steady rhythm, finishing the event with an overall time of 27:52 and an average pace of 8:59 min/mile. Compared to her previous 10K race at the 2024 Boulderthon, Amy improved her average pace by 38 seconds per mile. This is an excellent indicator of her growth and adaptation over time. She improved in overall placing, finishing 104th among females this time. To enhance her performance further, a continued focus on pacing strategy may help improve her second-mile split, capitalizing on the strong start and finish.
