Consistent Progress with Notable Speed Bursts In the 2025 Boulderthon Half Marathon, Donavan Brooks completed the race in 2:14:43, managing a commendable average pace of 10:17 min/mile over 13.1 miles. Representing the NARC (Not A Run Club) team, he showed a consistent progression throughout the race, with strategically paced segments. Notably, his 5th mile was one of his strongest as he improved his division position to 222nd in M25-29. He also showed an impressive burst of speed in the 9th mile, achieving a split time of 8:11 min/mile, which notably improved his pace standings. Although experiencing moments of speed, Donavan's pacing fluctuated in some sections. In particular, the 10th mile saw an increase to a 12:37 min/mile pace, a possible area to focus on for maintaining more even pacing throughout the distance. Ending in the top half of his division, continued pacing strategies could yield improved results in future races.
