Consistent Pace Gains in Boulderthon Mason Plaut completed the 2025 Boulderthon 5K with a final time of 33:36, achieving an average pace of 10:50 min/mile. Notably, Mason improved his pace with each mile. Starting with 12:31 min/mile at the first mile, he accelerated to 9:58 min/mile in the second, showing a strong performance with this consistent drop in pace. This steady improvement was a key highlight. Mason finished with improved placement throughout the race, moving from 762nd to 651st overall. In the male division for ages 35-39, he maintained a consistent position at 44th. Focusing on maintaining the strong rhythm observed in the latter part of the race and perhaps increasing speed earlier could further enhance future race performances. Overall, Mason showed excellent pacing improvement throughout the 5K course.
