Starting with a 7:52 min/mile, he managed to keep his splits fairly even, showing slight improvement in the third mile with a 7:48 min/mile pace before settling into a steady rhythm. Notably, Eric improved his overall standing from 204th to 148th by the race's end, reflecting his strong pacing strategy.
