Steady Start, Strong Finish Joy Xiaodan ran the 2025 Boulderthon 5K, maintaining a steady pace throughout the race. Initially, she started with a pace of 11:36 min/mile. By the second mile, Joy improved slightly to 11:31 min/mile. This consistent opening strategy allowed her an overall finish time of 37:44, averaging a pace of 12:10 min/mile. Throughout the race, Joy faced some challenges in her pacing, particularly in the third mile where her pace slowed to 13:19 min/mile. Despite this, she managed to place well in her division, finishing 90th out of her F25-29 age group. To improve further, focusing on maintaining the early-mile consistency into the latter stages of the race would be beneficial. Overall, Joy showcased her endurance and ability to maintain an effective, steady pace. Nice effort on reaching the finish line amidst a field of 1972 participants!
