Consistent Pace with Strong Recovery Pedro Guarin demonstrated a commendable performance at the 2025 Boulderthon with a total time of 46:13 in the 10K event, maintaining a consistent pace throughout the race. Starting with a strong pace of 7:25 in the first mile, Pedro improved to 7:06 in the second mile, which showed a quick recovery and allowed him to move up in placements significantly. His first split ranked him at 111th overall, while by the second mile, he had already moved up to 98th. By maintaining an average pace of 7:27 min/mile, Pedro secured 7th place in his M25-29 division out of a detailed field of runners. It was noticeable that the fifth and sixth miles came in slower at paces of 7:36 and 8:07 respectively, leading to a slight drop in overall placement to 81st. Working on maintaining that mid-race tempo in the latter part of the race could yield even better results in the future.
