Throughout the race, Martha maintained steady pacing, with early miles clocking in near or below a 9:00-minute mile. Notably, she began with a swift 8:54-minute mile, before gradually easing into the mid 9-minute range by mile 5. While the later stages saw a slowing trend, particularly a shift from a 9:36 pace at mile 17 to 10:03 by the marathon finish, her consistency in the first half proved commendable.
