Consistent Performance with Strong First Half Rex Helm maintained a commendable pace throughout the 2025 Boulderthon Half Marathon, completing the race in 1:45:22 with an overall pace of 8:02 min/mile. Rex began with an 8:04 min/mile pace and improved to a strong 7:46 min/mile by the second mile. This early moderate pace set the foundation for a series of consistent splits ranging between 7:46 min/mile to 7:57 min/mile until the fifth mile, allowing Rex to achieve a notable overall place improvement to 314 at that point. The second half of the race presented some pacing fluctuations, particularly noticeable in the final miles, where the pace slightly eased to 8:48 min/mile in mile 13. Despite this, Rex managed to maintain a steady position among his gender and division peers, finishing 427th in gender out of 6546 participants. Rex showed a strong ability to stay consistent for much of the race, and with a little more practice on sustaining that early energy, could achieve even greater success in future events.
