Consistent Start, Slower Finish Alyssa's performance at the 2025 Boulderthon showcased a steady progression with variances in her pace. She began the 5K race strongly, achieving her first mile in 9:55 minutes. However, her pace slowed in the second and third miles, with split times of 12:07 and 13:38 minutes, respectively. This caused her overall pace to average out at 11:53 min/mile. Despite the slowdown, Alyssa maintained a consistent placement in her gender and division towards the latter part of the race. Ranking 426th among females and 55th in her age division, she showed persistence in completing the race. Comparing to her previous race at Boulderthon 2024, where she clocked an average pace of 10:42 min/mile, there is an opportunity to focus on maintaining a uniform pace. Working on endurance and pacing strategies could aid in improving her performance across the entire distance.
