Steady Pace with Strategic Improvements Joie Melzer-Games from Aurora started the 2025 Boulderthon 10K with a strong pace of 9:49 min/mile in the first mile, showing great momentum. Her split times between miles one and three demonstrate consistent pacing, progressively improving her split pace from 9:49 min/mile to 9:32 min/mile by the third mile. She held a competitive position in her age division, maintaining around the top 80 throughout the race in her F30-34 category. In the latter half of the race, Joie's pace slightly decreased, resulting in longer split times of 10:56 and 10:51 min/mile during miles four and five. Encouragingly, Joie improved her overall position to 583 in the fifth mile before finishing the race with a total time of 1:04:11. Continuing to focus on endurance and maintaining pace in the later stages can enhance her performance further. Representation for Black Girls RUN! remained a highlight with Joie's participation.
