Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Ivan displayed a solid performance in the 2025 Boulderthon 5K with an overall elapsed time of 29:13 and an average pace of 9:25 min/mile, finishing 373rd out of 1972 participants. The race started with a conservative pace of 10:26 min/mile, which allowed for a stronger push in the subsequent miles. Over the course of the race, Ivan demonstrated effective pacing strategy improvement. He achieved his fastest split in mile two, running at a pace of 8:06 min/mile, which is notably faster than his average. The finish showed consistency with a final elapsed pace comfortably sustained at 9:23 min/mile. Maintaining that middle mile speed in subsequent races could lead to even better performance. Future races could focus on building endurance to sustain that pace from mile two over longer distances and even work on the start to help with overall time.
