Consistent Gains and Steady Improvement Sami Mckinsey demonstrated consistent pacing and steady improvement during the 2025 Boulderthon 5K. She maintained a consistent reduction in pace with each mile progressed. Sami started with a 12:35 min/mile pace, showing gradual improvement in her splits, moving to a 12:17 min/mile by the second mile and finishing the third mile with a pace of 12:04 min/mile. Sami's overall timed completion was 37:47 with an average pace of 12:11 min/mile. Of the 1972 participants, Sami maintained strong positioning throughout. She improved her placement with each split, starting at 927th place overall, moving up to 924th, and eventually reaching 917th. In the female division F25-29, she moved from 96th to 92nd, and finally settled at 91st. One strategy for upcoming races could be to continue working on maintaining the pace from the final mile, to begin races with this level of intensity.
