Consistent Effort with Notable Mid-Race Pacing Angela began the race with a solid start, achieving a 9:36 min/mile pace for the first mile. An impressive improvement came during the second mile with a split time of 8:54 min/mile, moving up in her age division from 16th to 14th place. Through the middle of the race, her pace varied slightly, finishing the third and fourth miles at 9:48 and 11:20 min/mile, respectively. It's clear she demonstrated notable persistence throughout these segments. In the latter half, maintaining consistency was a challenge as the fifth and sixth miles saw paces of 11:56 and 11:39 min/mile. Angela finished the 10K race with an overall time of 1:05:05, maintaining an average race pace of 10:29 min/mile. In her age division, she placed 29th, a competitive effort given the field size. Streamlining pacing strategies could enhance consistency and performance in future races.
