Consistent Mid-Race Efforts Shine Through in Boulderthon 10K In this years Boulderthon 10K, Carissa Martinez completed the 6.2-mile course with a finish time of 59:07 and an average pace of 9:32 min/mile. Notably, she held a strong pace through the first miles, with her best split at mile 2 at a 9:00 min/mile pace. Carissa's performance placed her 20th in the F40-44 division, showcasing her competitive edge in an event with 2,428 participants. Analyzing her splits, we observed a slight slowdown between mile 3 and mile 5, where the split pace drifted from 9:23 min/mile to 9:52 min/mile. However, she regained momentum towards the end with a consistent pace of 9:46 min/mile by mile 6. Maintaining those early-paced segments deeper into the race could enhance endurance and efficiency. Overall, Carissa demonstrated admirable consistency and determination throughout the race.
