Consistent Pace Leads to Strong Finish in Division Scott Howes maintained a steady and impressive performance throughout the 2025 Boulderthon 10K, displaying remarkable consistency in his pacing. He started with an 8:03 min/mile pace for the first mile and kept a similar pace throughout the race. Notably, despite a slight slowdown to an 8:15 pace in mile 4, Scott managed to regain momentum, finishing with an average pace of 8:08 min/mile over 6.2 miles. Scott finished 183rd overall out of a field of 2,428 participants, placing 130th among male runners, and notably landed 7th in the M45-49 division. His progression during the race was evident as he improved his divisional rank from 11th at the start to 7th by the end. Continuing to maintain or slightly improve the pace in the latter miles could lead to even better divisional standings in the future. Great job, Scott!
