Consistent Start, Fading Finish Michael Hargrove started strong in the 2025 Boulderthon 10K with his opening mile at an 8:36 pace, maintaining this effort through the second mile. Notably, he held onto his division position well in these early stages, at 44th place in the M35-39 group. By the third mile, however, there was a noticeable shift as his pace dropped to 9:43. This resulted in a loss of three places in his division. The second half of the race showed a further decline in pace and positioning. His pace slowed to 10:35 in miles five and six, leading to his final placement of 59th in the M35-39 division. A total time of 59:54 and average pace of 9:39 per mile were achieved, placing Michael 623rd overall. Focusing on building endurance and maintaining speed in the later stages could enhance performance in future races.
