Consistent Energy with Pacing Precision Madison Thatcher displayed consistent pacing in the 2025 Boulderthon 10K event. She completed the race in 56:23, with an elapsed pace of 9:05 min/mile. Notably, Madison maintained a strong start with her fastest mile at an 8:25 pace during the second mile, which helped her retain a steady position in her age division. Her performance remained consistent, as seen in her ability to keep pace despite a gradual slowing, finishing 19th in the F20-24 division out of numerous competitors. Reviewing her pacing strategy, Mile 1 at 8:40 pace and Mile 2 at 8:32 pace were excellent. This creation of a strong foundation paved the way for the rest of the race. There was a slight increase in split times from Mile 3 onward, suggesting opportunities for focus on maintaining pace during the second half.
