Consistent Pace with a Strong Finish in 10K Michelle Gitau maintained a consistent pace in the 2025 Boulderthon 10K with notable splits throughout the race. Starting with an 11:13 min/mile for the first mile placed her 97th in her division. Her pace improved slightly in the second mile to 11:00 min/mile, showing good initial energy. By the third and fourth miles, she settled into a rhythm with splits of 11:19 and 11:14 min/mile, respectively, resulting in steady placements, 96th and 94th in her division, indicating a balanced effort. During the fifth mile, Michelle posted a split of 12:34 min/mile, her slowest of the race. Despite this, she showed remarkable resilience by regaining her pace, finishing the race with an average of 11:32 min/mile over 6.2 miles. Michelle finished strongly, maintaining her overall position and division ranking, again placing 97th in F35-39. Her participation with the ZFT Run Club might be beneficial for team motivation and future training adjustments.
