Consistent Forward Pace with Notable Improvement James demonstrated a consistent performance during the 2025 Boulderthon 10K. Starting strong with a first-mile pace of 7:50, he maintained a steady rhythm, progressively adjusting to an 8:45 average pace by the end. While there was a slight slowdown, noticeable at the 9:17 and 9:21 splits, his placement remained competitive. James placed 6th in his division for the first mile, with a final division placement of 12th. His overall time of 54:19 was impressive, positioning him 207th in his gender category out of a total of 2428 participants. Compared to the previous years performance at the same event, James improved significantly, cutting more than 21 minutes off his earlier time. The prior year saw him with a time of 1:15:15, reflecting a pace of 12:08. The enhanced training focus on speed and endurance has evidently paid off. Going forward, consistent pacing could be enhanced by targeting those transition splits to sustain speed throughout the race.
