His pacing varied only slightly, demonstrated by splits ranging from 6:36 to 7:07 minutes per mile, reaching a peak pace of 6:36 during the final mile. Jack's performance saw him improving his position well throughout the race, with notable gains in both the fifth and twelfth miles, moving up considerably in the overall standings.
