Consistent Pacing with Strong Mid-Race Performance Caitlyn Kluszynski from Avon, IN, maintained a consistent pace throughout the Boulderthon Half Marathon, finishing the 13.1-mile course in 1:47:33. Her average pace was 8:12 min/mile. Notably, her performance shone in the middle section of the race. At mile 5, Caitlyn sped up with a split time of 7:23, marking her fastest mile, significantly improving her placement to 9th in her division during this section. Analyzing the splits, Caitlyn started strong, maintaining a pace between 7:35-7:49 in the first half of the course. Although her pace slowed slightly in the latter stages, the earlier effort paid off with a division placement of 38 out of 38 in the F20-24 category. There was a notable increase in the 11th mile split time, 10:29. Focused endurance training to sustain pace in later segments might enhance performance further.
