Steady Progress with Strategic Splits Thomas Dews demonstrated noticeable progress at the 2025 Boulderthon Half Marathon. His effective pacing strategy kept him close to a 7:00 min/mile average. Starting strong with a 6:54 opening mile, Thomas improved his positioning continuously, moving from 180th to as high as 73rd overall by the fifth mile. His split pace of 6:25 for the second mile marked his fastest, displaying strong early energy. In the later stages, Thomas maintained resilience as his splits gradually slowed, notably in the eighth mile with an 8:05 pace. Despite this, Thomas managed a well-timed acceleration in the 12th mile, closing strong with a 6:57 pace. Ultimately, he completed the race in 1:33:39. Compared to his previous marathon at Boulderthon, where he maintained a 9:12 min/mile pace, he improved in distance management and speed. Continued focus on maintaining late-race pace could yield further improvement.
