Consistent Start with Late Drop in Pace David Wesner maintained a strong and consistent pace through the first half of the Boulderthon Half Marathon, hitting the 5-mile mark at 39:03, with a pace of approximately 7:48 min/mile. He showed impressive steadiness, averaging around a 7:43 min/mile pace initially, especially notable in his 1-mile and 2-mile splits, both at exactly 7:43. As the race progressed, there was a notable drop in pace, particularly from mile 7 onwards when he shifted from a 7:55 min/mile to a 9:00 min/mile by mile 8. His final split pace was 8:50, and he finished with an overall pace of 8:19 min/mile. The drop in pace in the latter half might suggest areas for improvement in endurance or pacing strategy.
