Consistent Pace with Strong Finish Chiru maintained a consistent pace throughout the course. Starting with a 9:00 min/mile, Chiru improved quickly, notably dropping to 8:24 min/mile by mile 5. A remarkable split occurred at mile 9, clocking in at 6:34 min/mile, the fastest of the race. The final significant surge was during mile 13, where they managed a strong 7:37 min/mile split, propelling Chiru to finish with an overall time of 1:50:54. The placement progression demonstrated strategic pacing, moving from position 1285 at mile 1 to around 905 by the finish. Particularly noteworthy was the elevation from 172nd to 131st in the M25-29 division. Maintaining a steady improvement in pacing, particularly after initial miles, contributed to effective placement advances. Continued focus on sustaining the faster pacing strategy observed in the latter phases could yield even further improvements in future races.
