Consistent Pacing with a Swift Comeback Edward Kim participated in the 2025 Boulderthon Half Marathon. He completed the 13.1-mile distance with an official time of 1:47:59, maintaining an overall average pace of 8:14 min/mile. Starting with an initial mile at 8:10, he settled into a consistent rhythm, keeping splits mainly within the 7:55 to 8:14 range. Notably, he recovered remarkably in mile five, clocking in at 5:02, which was significantly faster than his average pace and improved his overall standing. Throughout the race, Edward showed an adept ability to sustain an even pace, particularly from miles seven to thirteen, where all splits were consistent. Competing in the M35-39 division, he placed 84th out of 6546 participants overall. His performance exemplifies a strong start and a determined recovery after a challenging fourth mile.
