Consistent Effort with Speed Variability Lynette Carrington completed the 2025 Boulderthon Half Marathon with an official time of 3:24:11 at a pace of 15:35 min/mile. Throughout the race, her placing saw some changes, ending at 5159th overall, 2890th among females, and 243rd in the F40-44 division. Notably, Lynette's pace was quite variable. A remarkable surge occurred between miles 8 and 9, when her pace dropped to a speedy 11:42 min/mile. The first and third miles were clocked at 14:34 and 14:37 min/mile, respectively, showing strong starts at the beginning and into the third mile. Miles 5 and 6 required slightly more effort with paces of 15:16 min/mile. Subsequent splits were slightly slower but relatively steady. The race highlighted areas of speed potential, especially seen in her burst at mile 9. Engaging in interval training may help in maintaining those strong paces over longer distances. Keep this in mind as you continue training with the ZFT Run Club.
